Very amazing reading the description of Heaven. Amazing story at the accident scene. I wish they had provided some affidavits or something regarding the 90 minutes being dead, followed by being brought back to life - that would have been welcomed.
The disturbing part is the horrible recovery experience. This goes against the grain of a typical concept of how God "should" work (of course this typical idea is not supported by the Bible... :) The thought of having to go through all of that pain and suffering to accomplish God's purposes is a scary thing: don't we wish that God would just remove us from pain? Unfortunately, He does not, never said He would. He only promises to be with us, and to take bad things that happen and bring something good from them. He does not ask us to believe the lie that the bad was good - it is not. So often, when someone suffers a terrible accident or loss, you hear a Christian brother say something like "oh, it is bad, but it is God's will, so it will all be OK." This is false religion. Evil is NEVER God's will.
So read this book if you want to have a better glimpse of how God really works, and have your pain-free and trouble-free concept of being a Christian exploded... | | | | A Book You Can't Put Down Aug 28, 2007 |

| Not being a big reading fan, I thought this was a very interesting and easy to read with short chapters. I enjoyed Don's insight to what heaven was like for him and how he was able to reach out to others after his accident. The only down side to the book was a few chapters that when on and on about his depression and self pity. God only knows that must have been a very difficult time for him but one chapter could have covered that feeling he had right after the accident. I have since lent the book to family members to read cause I really did enjoy reading it and think it provides a great sense of peace about death and heaven. | | |  | this book is complete trash Aug 24, 2007 |
| First of all heaven doesn't even exist. Heaven and hell were made up 500 years ago to scare peasants into following the king. Anyone who believes in heaven or hell is severely brainwashed. Also Jesus is not god's son. I AM CORRECT.
